Koukounaria Hotel & Suites - Alykes (Zakynthos)

The hotel staff were polite and always willing to assist.

The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell due to a poor drainage system, quite off-putting .

My wife and I had a brilliant 10 day stay at this hotel in May 2018. It was the beginning of the season, and fairly quiet. We could not fault our stay in any way. Everything was superb, fantastic location, friendly staff, very clean room, good prices for food and drink. Never been anywhere in Greece before, and looking forward to a return visit to this hotel next year.

Everything was positive.

The personal note and bottle of wine on arrival made our honeymoon extra special. Enjoying a peaceful stay with a stunning sea view from our stylish room was nice.

- During the night, water fountain was very very noisy - breakfast was horrible - many noisy birds on the balcony - for credit card payment they charged 3% from the entire amount

Quiet location, but within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. Excellent room, high-level cleaning. And breakfast, let alone a restaurant with a bar, is good. I suggest you do it!

Amazing staff made memories!

The spacious room offered fine sea views, and the breakfast featured delicious local produce. The pool area was immaculate.

The shower pressure was a bit lacking, frustrating during busy morning routines. Some confusion during dinner service made for a few awkward moments.

The location is great the pools are lovely its family friendly nice and clean will defiantly stay there again

was some confusion at reception didnt realise air con was included in the price i paid so was only given it on last night only when i enquired . Was charged for the baby cot even though on your website it stated free baby cots so maybe reception staff need more information on whats included and whats not as can be a little embarassing and the air con was badly needed for the baby but at 45 euros extra was too much money so make things a bit clearer on your website please

The pool area offered amazing mountain views.

The location was great and quiet - just walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. The place was few metres away from the heart of Zakynthos Town. The restaurant was beautiful for dinner, we ordered freshly cooked dishes....  

The pool area is spacious and well-maintained, offering ample space for swimming or lounging under the sun. The room designs are aesthetically pleasing, especially with great views from the balconies.

The air conditioning had issues, often not cooling the room adequately, and extra charges for this service felt unnecessary. Meal times felt chaotic, with limited choices and some repetitive options. Flies contaminating food items during breakfast that left a lot to be desired. The inconsistent enforcement of dress code rules led to some awkward moments, with guests unsure of what was permitted.

The breakfast was good and well presented with nuts. The staff were very professional and competent and I loved the stay.

We stayed in the old part of the hotel apartments. If you want modern this part isn't. It was clean comfortable and quirky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Reception was excellent. Be warned if you go on a package be prepared to pay out for kettle etc....
